A glorious sunset!

Sunday was a glorious day. A taste of Spring to come maybe? The sun shone, oystercatchers were singing (another sign of Spring) and the sun set a little further on it's route to the height of summer. Sunset today was at 1705.  Such a change from 1505 in mid-winter!

So I thought I'd share some pictures of the beautiful sunset. May it be the first of many this Spring! (OK it's not "quite" Spring yet, but we can imagine).

I love the way the sun warms the colour of the stone on the house....

And the colours got deeper as the sun sunk lower

Ah yes, I can feel the promise of Spring in the warmth of the sun :-)

  1. Gorgeous, Sian! Still mainly cloudy here yesterday but today we have wall-to-wall sunshine and blue skies!

    1. Hope the sun stayed awhile? And Spring is in your part of the world too now?

    2. One day only, Sian. :-( Since then we've had snow and rain and grey skies galore and it's been, and still is, sooooo cold! Spring, what's spring?

  2. Gorgeous - no other words would do, thankyou for sharing. Had 2 days of glorious sun here in the deep south but the ground still too wet to start gardening apart from a little tidying but enjoyed being outdoors AND warm just the same.

    1. I'm itching to get out into the garden again. Weather has returned to a cold snap, but hopefully soon the spade will see some work again!
