Life on a small Orkney island, off the North coast of Scotland
I've seen a moon bow and a sun dog, but never a fog bow. Love the Orkneys! Thanks for sharing.
OOoh I'd LOVE to see a moon bow.... no idea what a sun dog is??! Hope you get to visit again one day?
Gosh, I've never seen that before. We just had mist... :-(
I'd only heard about it recently and was thrilled to see one..... I must try and be a bit more observant in future.
just found your delightfull blog .. through the wind and the wellies .. i live on a small island as well .. on the east coast of vancouver island .. it's wonderfull to see your ancient one .. by the way, did the unicorn come by .. ? ..
Belated greetings! Oooh I must check out your blog. I visited Vancouver island about 16 years ago (a day trip from Seattle). We visited the Butchart gardens and had "English Afternoon Tea" in one of the hotels. I had a bit of a culture shock as I had been on holiday in the US, KNEW I was thousands of miles from London but I was riding in a red double decker bus around the city of Victoria. LOL!
i've never seen a mist bow before ;)Have a good day :)
Neither had I. It was lovely -wish I'd had more time to take pix but I was on the way to the ferry - which, as you know, doesn't wait!
Lovely photo - only seen one once, at Bexhill on the Sussex Coast a couple of years ago - very exciting!
They are amazing aren't they? So glad I've finally seen one.
Same as others, I have never seen ( or heard of! ) a fog bow before, thats quite something. Nature can be so beautiful.
Yes - it often takes my breath away (sometimes literally in a gale!).
What an amazing thing ! What a lovely little island you live on !
I know! Wish you could visit sometime and I could show you around! (Well that would take about an hour on this island - then we could have tea and cake.....)
