LOL...Did I not mention I lived beside a lighthouse? LOL! Yes I just love the history surrounding lighthouses. The Graemsay lighthouses were built by "the lighthouse Stevensons" who built lots of Scottish lighthouses and some very remote ones on mere stumps of rock. The story of how they were built is amazing in itself, then there are the stories of the light-keepers and their families too.

Mary Z - I love being by the sea. For as long as I could remember I wanted to be near the sea - hadn't expected to be *this* close though! :-)Sianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15086990153239265950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-496522256748038434.post-6431918606851474212008-03-18T03:03:00.000+00:002008-03-18T03:03:00.000+00:00A lighthouse! It's a lighthouse!Seriously, though...A lighthouse! It's a lighthouse!

Seriously, though, what a fun picture. When we drove down to northern California last summer we stopped at a number of lighthouses along the coast. Every one is different and has its own story.Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08954004825041083313noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-496522256748038434.post-30454629496222106022008-03-17T21:11:00.000+00:002008-03-17T21:11:00.000+00:00What wonderful history stories!
