Hoy High Lighthouse on Graemsay
Clouds and light - a title to loosely hang together some pictures! But I DO love the light at this time of year. The sun is low and shadows are long. Clouds hang in the sky in many guises, some light and wispy, some heavy with rain. I love the changing skyscape.... and these were all taken on the same day (two trips across the water via Hoy) at the beginning of October. That's Orkney weather for you!

I am always thinking, during the hot, sunny summer day,s that I should be out taking photos. But really, this is the best time for getting the great shots. Your skies are heavenly!
ReplyDeleteI'm the same - when the sun is bright I want to be out with my camera. Though I also love the moodier light of other times. And I enjoy showing ORkney in all it's glory, whatever the weather or colour of sky!

ReplyDeleteSigh. Yes after a not-bad morning it turned windy and rainy. Though all sounds quiet oudoors at the moment. I hate the grey all day kind of light....ho hum....
