Sunshine and chocolate eggs....

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, whether you choose to celebrate Easter, or Spring (um Autumn on the other side of the globe!), or just like eating chocolate eggs :-)

We have had a glorious few days of sunshine here in Orkney, and WARMTH in the sun!  And almost NO wind...

Today I sat on the bench outside the front door and enjoyed tea and chocolate while basking in the Spring sunshine....bliss.....

  1. Happy Spring! When you can sit outdoors with your tea, that means this joyous season has finally arrived! Enjoy every pleasant moment that Spring offers.

    1. Hmm these last few days I'd need a hat, scarf and gloves to sit outside....but still, Spring is here!

  2. Hasn't it been gorgeous, Sian? Today in particular has been completely cloudless and warm out of the easterly wind which kept the clouds away. Enjoy your chocolate. :-)

    1. Yes I have been able to do a lot in the garden as it's sheltered from the wind. So lovely to be working outdoors againk, even for a brief period.

  3. Hi Sian,
Your day sounds heavenly. Happy Easter! It was sunny here in Nova Scotia but still quite cold. Lots of chocolates and jelly beans were gobbled up and we`re still finding hidden easter eggs! Cheers from our home to yours

  5. Bliss, Sian! Hope your warm, sunny weather continues. Here in Yorkshire it is a bright morning so I shall enjoy the garden jobs (many!) before the weather changes. I'm sure that Button enjoys the warmth. Jo

    1. So much to do in the garden, our weather changed again so we have mist, fog, rain .... I've still managed a wee bit in the garden despite the weather but not much...bah!

  6. You began the day outside with tea and chocolate, Gudula ended it outside with a G&T and a hot cross bun. Yep, one of those days when the oft-asked question ("Orkney? Why?") is irrelevant :o)

    1. OOoh glad you had sunshine!! 68F - that's the height of our summer temperatures here in Orkney! Well sometimes it gets into the 70s out of the breeze.... but that is my perfect temperature.
