OK - I'm back..... yes really.... I think!

Madam Button demands adulation

So.... I didn't get on with Instagram either and I had so many lovely emails and comments from folk sad about me stopping my blog that I thought - oh folk ARE still interested.... maybe I will continue and see how it goes.  Part of the reason I stopped was I felt it was all a bit repetitive!  And I will probably blog a bit less often and not beat myself up about that.....

I will try and find a way to do a mobile upload from my phone or ipad as that might be easier too - I rarely use my laptop now I'm retired.....

Coming up - last week I went back to Graemsay (to misquote the first line of Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier!).

  1. Best news I have had all day! Welcome back :-}

    I am on a countdown: 2 weeks and 2 days until I head your way. Have accepted that if I get to see even half of what is on my Mainland list I will have done well. Which means two further trips - one to do whatever I don't achieve next month, and then another when I do some island hopping. So much history on Westray, Rousay, well - everywhere really! And then there will be the return trips to visit places I've fallen in love with.

  3. Just clicked on an old link and was delighted to find your words and pictures back online. It's a real pleasure to see another "world" from here in the center of the USA.

  4. Button knows she will always get adulation from the blogging community, so no doubt *purrsuaded* you back!

    1. Haha! She likes being put on a pedestal that's for sure!

  6. So glad you are back as I love your lovely photos showing how your area changes over the year. I love your Button, so like my old Buddy, a Tuxedo cat too. What happened to your girls? Loved seeing your chickens and your garden. Hope you have some space for some new blooms at your new home. Take care, warm thoughts.

    1. Aww thank you. Tuxedo cats are just gorgeous and such characters. The hens stayed at Sandside with the new owners. They are still there and doing OK from what I hear. I do miss them! My "garden" is even more exposed here so experimenting with what might work this year.....

    1. Thank you! After 18 months of preparing to move or moving house (twice) I lost my blogging mojo but now I'm more settled I feel I want to continue - though in a more relaxed fashion and not putting pressure on myself!

  8. I'm glad you're back - Welcome back. As you know I also left blogging for a while then returned with a 3-4 postings a month regime, less is more seems to work in keeping my writing and interest flowing. I joined Instagram to follow you (and try it out) but after 2 weeks I'd failed miserably to understand what it was all about so deleted my account and therefore great to see you back on the blogging path :-)

    1. I'm still on Instagram but rarely, I just didn't engage with it and all the ads drive me nuts! I'm going to be a bit more relaxed about blogging and do so when I feel I want to rather than put pressure on myself.
