The sleeping dragon of Hoy.....

is having a nap under a fluffy duvet of clouds!  I love this view from my front door. I always look towards the Sleeping Dragon. I think she only wakes during the night - I hear her roaring then, though others tell me it's the wind. I know better!

  2. You are so lucky to have such a view from your front door and I am sure it is forever changing - subtly with the seasons and different weather conditions. That sense of space and that daily connection with nature is undoubtedly good for the soul. I'm jealous.

    1. When I used to work in London I would get home and do some relaxation exercises to those CDs you can get with the sound of waves etc. Now I just open the window :-) And yes it really IS good for the soul/spirit/body!

  4. Bonnie has said it. :-) Super view and one could never tire of it.

PS I made your version of parsnip and apple soup yesterday and it was delicious, definitely tastier than my recipe. :-)

  5. That is a beautiful view. And it really does look like a sleeping dragon. If I had that view I wuld sit and write dragon stories.

  6. Those aren't clouds -- they're smoke coming from the dragons nostrils.
