Just been out to take a photo of the sunset at 10.30pm tonight. Actually it looked better for real than in the photo - often the way. Anyway the young stock are clearly interested in photography as they were hanging about while I took the shots. Unfortunately the ring-leader wouldn't stand still so the picture is a little blurred! (and yes it really is still this light at 10.30pm).
Photos around East Mainland of Orkney, which is off the North coast of Scotland

Cool livestock photo. What's that tall thing in the background?
ReplyDeleteThere's a tall thing in the background? I'll check - oohh well whadderyaknow - it's a lighthouse! wonder how that got there......
ReplyDeleteSian, does it get dark at all now, or is it still somewhat light all night? We still have light at 10:30, now, but nothing like your picture.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary - sunset is 10.19pm tonight, with sunrise at 0404am. It does seem to be dark about 1am (well it was indoors when I woke up the other night), though from experience I know when *outdoors* even at 2am it is possible to walk home without using a torch! I just LOVE this time of year.... of course the winter is *dark*..... from about 3.30pm to about 9am.......
