We had some fantastic sunsets, and there was a pleasant walk down to the lighthouse - which was actually not very big, you can just make out the silhouette in the photo below! Not like the lighthouse next door to me - Hoy High! But it was lovely to go down to the shore and watch the sun setting and listen to the birds.

Wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographs Sian. What a lovely place to go on holiday!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, as always! When my husband and I traveled the Outer Hebrides, we took a bus from Inverness to Ullapool (a very scenic ride) to start our journey across the Minch; Ullapool was so lovely, it seemed a whitewashed little town, and we vowed to return one day.

Mary - yes it WAS wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLearner Gardener - oh yes it was wonderful - and we went just before the midge season too! Apparently once the midges arrive there is an early evening curfew.
Louise - I loved the town too and hope to return in the not too distant future!
