Oooops.......

I seem to have let my 10th anniversary as a blogger slip by this year!!  Here was my very first post in 2008

I've always enjoyed my blog posts.  Some months, indeed years, are more prolific than others but I still love sharing my pictures and some of the stories with you all.  Thanks for "following" me (metaphorically speaking - not physically, that would just be weird!).

  1. You're not the only one to miss your blog anniversary, Sian - I missed my 7th last year. Congratulations anyway and I hope you enjoy many more blogging years! xx

  2. Congratulations, Sian, it has a been pleasure to visit your blog and have news of such a remote but beautiful little country. This is the kind of blog I love the best - unique, well documented, valorizing beauty.

I'll never travel so far as where you live, so thank you for showing me your parcel of the world.

  3. Mine was last year and yes, I missed it entirely too! You have now encouraged me to read back on my early posts though - isn't it interesting how a blog evolves over time! Happy 10 years Sian!

    1. Congratulations! Oooh somehow your blog slipped off my list. I've put it back now! I don't have much time to read other blogs regularly but love dipping in and out when I have time.

  4. I shall have to go see how many years I have been blogging, though as I have not been too active, I shall have to divide by two.

  5. Thank you so much for sharing the island with us. My Dad who spent time there as a boy at The Hill has enjoyed seeing the stories and the images and even now in decking health I show him and it brings back memories

    1. Oh wow! Have you read the book by Bryce Wilson about Graemsay? It's available from the Orcadian online. Lots of old photos and stories. I love learning about the history of people who lived on this wee island over the years.
