Button is grumpy....
Well it IS 1st June which technically means it's Summer and it IS actually quite warm so I turned off the heating.... as you can see from the photo above, Button is not best pleased. She is demanding to know HOW she is supposed to keep her paws warm NOW!
Needless to say, she soon finds the sunniest spot in the house...... no fear of HER getting frostbite!
The last couple of days have been lovely and sunny and deliciously warm. Well warm for Orkney. It was 58 degrees F/16C and Orkney folk are walking around in shorts and tee shirts, claiming it's too hot. While visitors are unzipping anoraks, and possibly taking off wooly hats...... it won't last but both Button and I are enjoying it while it does!!

Sounds perfect to me.
ReplyDeleteButton is surely a cat of creature comforts! Enjoy summer.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of Button. Why didn't you consult her before turning off the heating? Although it looks as though she's found her own solution on that sunny windowsill.
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your blog. I have always wanted to live on an island ever since I first read Homer's Odyssey and discovered the island kingdom, Ithaca.
ReplyDeleteMy, my! You even have tuxedo cats on your island? Your cat reminds Marash Girl of her beloved Pudd, who left this earth many years ago to join the angels . . . There is many a tale to be told about Pudd . . . and your cat as well?
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you had the good weather last weekend too. Trust a cat to find the warmest spot in the house. :-)
