Graemsay Christmas Party

A week ago we had the Graemsay Christmas Party.  This is actually for the children of the island but with so few of us all the adults join in the games too. Of course!  So here are just a few photos - I was busy helping with bits and pieces so didn't get to take many pictures this year.

Above, Santa gives out presents to all the children, aided and abetted by head elf, Irene from Breckan (who also organises the party and all the games!).

Here I think Santa is telling one of the mum's that she's been way too naughty this year to get any presents. Hee hee!

But before Santa arrived there were party games..... This was a team game of batting the balloon down the hall and back again...

Some were better than others....

And this was the round-chocolate-and-spoon race

The snowball game - teams throw white balls (paper) into a bucket and the one with the most in the bucket (or bowl in this case) wins.... I was on a winning team. Yay!

Then there was musical arms (dating back to the days when we had benches in the hall not individual chairs so couldn't play musical chairs.  Musical arms is much more fun!)

And of course, pass the parcel!  This was the children's version.  There was an adult one too, with the winner getting alcohol instead of chocolate.  I wanted to gate-crash the kids one! Haha!
