Sadly there were a couple of cases of Covid-19 reported in Orkney today. We have gone quite a while without any cases but with key workers travelling back and forth to Mainland Scotland, as well as local folk travelling and students back for the holidays there is always the risk of transmission. Hopefully the cases will be few and the folk will recover quickly.
Anyway back to the short walk around the shore...... A cloud looking like a woolly sheep or a wooly wolf disguised as a woolly sheep over Stromness
Button on the beach......
I took a drive round the island to keep the car running as I rarely drive it now. I have no need to go anywhere!! Looking over the croft of Quoys, the Community Hall (green hut) and the Manse on the hill.
Can never get too many pictures of Button! Sorry to hear of the covid on Orkney. It's nice to think of it as a hidey hole from the troubles of the world, but alas its defenses are not air tight. Stay well!
ReplyDeleteThanks Peggy. Thankfully few cases but we have to be ever vigilant!
DeleteBeautiful sky in your first shot. Have you thought about cataloging your photos of Graemsay and putting them in a calendar, some photo houses will do this for you.
ReplyDeleteWe have made island calendars for fund raisers in the past, but it gets quite expensive. I might think of doing it for friends sometime though. Although it does require me getting organised to do it!
DeleteThanks for the beautiful photos to compensate for the bleak January we're experiencing in Minnesota (central North America).
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed them and thank you for commenting. Hope you can stay safe and well in Minnesota!
DeleteBeautiful as ever. Sorry about your Covid but presumably not on your island. Unlike ours...
ReplyDeleteNone on Graemsay so far fortunately. But we are ever vigilant!
