Snow showers!
To be honest it fell on Graemsay mostly as sleet and hail. But this is what the weather reporters mean when they say "snow on hills". It was a wee bit chilly for a while, but it didn't last.
A snow shower on Hoy!
We've not had "proper" snow for years. I love the brightness of fresh snow but I do hate it once it gets slushy or even worse, frozen over!

Me too. We had a little snow yesterday, but it didn't stay on the ground long. I much prefer the snow storm on Hoy, to the one on the road past my house.
ReplyDeleteIt always looks so dramatic watching the weather on Hoy! Though I usually hope it doesn't travel across to me! LOL!
DeleteI love fresh, crisp snow too. We don't often see it in Hampshire. Loved your photos.
ReplyDeleteI used to live in Kent and it was rare for there to be thick snow for any length of time. It's unusual in Orkney too - most of the time it's too mild, we tend to get wet and windy winters. I do love the crispness of fresh snow though.
