Cattle grazing....

My field behind the house is used for summer grazing. The cows and calves are enjoying the grass among the buttercups, accompanied, of course, by The Big Red Bull.  The bull grumbles around the field but is no bother - though I was slightly alarmed when he caught sight of his reflection in the conservatory windows!  Fortunately one of the cows distracted him, or I might have had him on the sofa next to me!

I love watching the calves in the field. Sometimes they gang together and start racing around, just like human kids!

Meanwhile, with the changeable weather, Button has caught up on nap-time....cuddling her favourite toy of course!  She is not best pleased when I "abandon" her to go on holiday. However she IS very forgiving upon my return.

  1. Those cows should be happy, living where
    they do.

    1. They were till they ate all the grass - now they're mumbling and grumbling to be moved!

  3. What glorious looking cattle - no wonder Irene's Squeak likes hanging out with the Graemsay cows.

And your beautiful Button appears wonderfully contented. Cats look so lovely when they are snoozling, especially when snuggled up to a favourite. Oh yes, Zebby Cat considers that I am his favourite snuggly - so I get washed and grabbed at (to get my head in just the right position for him) as well as being purred to and treated like a cushion, bless the old boy.

    1. Yes Squeak likes to get closely acquainted with the cows. Button is more disdainful. Having just come back from a trip "south" Button is being all snuggly and purring. It's so sweet. I've just been "forced" to sit on the sofa for three hours as she was curled up on me..... ;-) Glad to hear that ZebbyCat is also discerning of the company he keeps!
